House of HR announces the formal conclusion of its agreement with Bain Capital Private Equity, making the latter its majority shareholder with a 55% stake. House of HR has also signed a promise to acquire the French company ABMI, which specializes in consulting and engineering services. Since November 4, 2022, the operation has been official, making Bain Capital Private Equity the majority shareholder of House of HR. Through this new strategic partnership, House of HR will be able to extend its unique platform to new markets and increase its digital investments.
This operation constitutes the largest takeover ever carried out by a capital investment fund in Belgium. With this acquisition, House Of HR now has nearly 600 employee shareholders. In addition, the company also announces the acquisition of Agium (Netherlands) and the signature of a promise to acquire ABMI (France), which reinforces Bain Capital’s confidence in its acquisition strategy. by House of HR. New investment in finance in the Netherlands
Dutch company Agium has been acquired by Redmore (subsidiary of House of HR specializing in risk management, technology, business, legal and finance services for financial service providers, business service providers and governments). Founded in 2002 by Stephan Persoon and Robbert van Adrichem, Agium is an extension of Redmore Financial Services, specializing in finance and financial control, staffing services and finance transformation.
With a turnover of 19.3 million euros in 2021, and 190 employees including 165 consultants, Agium (headquartered in Delft) joined the House of HR group at the beginning of October. A greater presence in the French engineering and consultancy market
House of HR’s offer to acquire the French company ABMI has been submitted for consultation with the relevant employee representative bodies and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2022, subject to regulatory clearances and customary conditions. At the conclusion of this transaction, the French company ABMI will form a close partnership via a joint holding company with Abylsen, the French engineering group specializing in industrial, digital and life sciences services, part of House of HR since 2015.
Founded in 1984, ABMI is present in France and Belgium and has 750 employees, including 650 consultants. It is a consulting and engineering services group with multi-niche expertise and committed to 3 engineering segments: product design and industrialization, industrial processes and industrial facilities (nuclear and rail infrastructure). In 2021, the company achieved a turnover of 50 million euros. Previously, ABMI was majority owned by Omnes Capital. The new holding company would be led by Florian Massaux as CEO and Vincent Coent as managing director.
