Attorney General Frank Musa Dean said the donation of the vehicles and motorcycles would be used for security operations in the three hub counties, including Bong, Nimba and Lofa.

“We look forward to working with you to deliver on our promise as a government to continue to support and undertake projects that recognize the need for regional decentralization of justice and security services,” he said.
“Security officers, being the first to be interviewed, work selflessly to protect and serve us, so it is prudent that they have the necessary logistics and housing in place to effectively deliver services through the Department of Justice’s Champion of Pillar: Sustainment.” of the Peace of the Pro- Bad Agenda for Prosperity and Development.”
Secretary Dean believes that continued support to the security sector through the rule of law program will help build and improve access to justice and improve the delivery of services to rural residents.
According to Secretary Dean, President George Weah believes that achieving a genuine and cohesive society is not only fundamental to achieving sustainable peace, but also supports the realization of the government’s key development initiative – the Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development ( PAPD). ), whose aim is to lift the poor and vulnerable out of poverty through just and reliable security for all Liberians and foreign residents.
He urged the police to work with citizens and not use the vehicles and motorcycles they have been given to hunt down unfortunate citizens. “The government will not tolerate any incident of violation of law and order. Our citizens must be law-abiding. We will not tolerate crime and we will not tolerate illegality,” he said.
Minister Dean thanked the Department of Finance and Development Planning, the Center Manager, the Liberian National Police and Liberia Immigration Service, and the Planning and Programs Unit for coordinating the affairs of the regional center. “We remain committed to improving our justice system and providing fair access for all and ensuring human rights protection for all,” he said.
The program was recognized by Bong’s District 3 Legislator Marvin Cole, who said the vehicles and motorcycles would go a long way in boosting police morale and improving their crime-fighting abilities.
MP Cole said the investment in the Regional Hub was timely given the setback recorded in security operations caused by repeated incidents of violence in the three boroughs.
Lawmakers said police suffered losses in infrastructure and logistics, while staff morale fell as a result of the impact.
“No society can survive without a motivated and well-equipped police force,” said lawmakers.
Rep. Cole urged police to return the gesture by stepping up intelligence gathering and surveillance in suspected red zones and bringing criminals terrorizing Bong County to justice quickly.
He therefore appealed to the public to support the security forces in the three districts with useful information that would lead to the arrest of criminals.
Upon receiving the vehicles and motorcycles, Bong, Nimba and Lofa Counties Regional Police Commander Morris Tingbeh said it would motivate and improve the operational capacity of security agencies.
Mr. Tingbeh thanked President Weah for prioritizing security in the country. “I firmly believe that with the government’s donation of the vehicles and motorcycles, crime in the three counties will be a thing of the past.
“The security of this country is paramount as the regional hub serves three districts.”
The Gbarnga Regional Hub was established and inaugurated in February 2012 as a pilot of five hubs to provide Justice and Security Services, Confidence Patrols, Civil Disobedience Incident Response, Surveillance Patrols and Legal Services.
The pilot phase, serving Bong, Lofa and Nimba counties, was marked by challenges, but the national legislature has recognized the request for support to provide funds in the state budget for the hub’s renovation and procured vehicles to maintain the hub.
This support also included Hub 2 in Grand Gedeh and Sinoe counties, the renovation of the Zwedru office and the provision of office equipment and motorbikes for public relations.
